Proud Aunt, Uncle and Cousin to Katelynn Alexis Lundberg!

We are so happy that the newest addition to the family is here! Katelynn Alexis Lundberg was born on Sunday, June 29th at 12:46am!

Saturday I was visiting a friend from church and Kelly called putting me on 'alert' that she might be in labor. I packed up Kristin and I and headed to Kelly & Jason's and sure enough she was in labor! I must say my sister is amazing! What a trooper! She was so calm while laboring at home, working like a busy bee trying to make sure everything was ready for the baby and Keilah and I were set with everything we needed while they were away at the hospital. I was watching Keilah during the birth. After about 6 or 7 hours of laboring at home she and Jason headed off to the hospital.

Keilah and Kristin took a bath and got ready for bed. Doug, Dad and Mom came over and helped put Keilah to bed. Uncle Doug read her a bedtime story. Keilah loves her Uncle Doug! Once the girls were sleeping we all just waited and waited to hear more of how Kelly and the baby were doing.

Close to midnight Doug, Dad and Mom headed to the hospital only to return without having seen baby Katelynn. She inhailed birthing fluids and is in the NICU I dont fully remember everything about it, but if you want to see more about this you can visit Kelly's blog at http://www.lifewiththelundbergs.blogspot.com/ .

We got to go visit Kelly at the hospital later today and I got to see baby Katelynn in the NICU. She is beautiful, and such a big girl! 9lbs, I cant believe it! My heart felt for Kelly because it was the first time since having Katelynn that she was able to touch her and hold the pacifier in her mouth. We visited for a little while and then I needed to take Keilah and Kristin back home to take a nap and Kristin and I headed home.

We are heading back up to Kelly & Jason's on Friday for the 4th of July, so we are praying that Katelynn will be at home with her family and we can all love on her and celebrate together!

We love you Katelynn, we are so glad you're here!

Here are some pics from the NICU visit I had today:

The Drive In, 6.27.08

Friday night we were bored, we wanted to go do something fun as a family. So we decided to go to the Santee Drive In! We invited Justin's sister, Heather & her husband, Alberto and family to come join us. We set up the truck with lots of blankets and stuff and the three of us enjoyed hanging out together and watching the movie. Kristin did really well, she played for a while and then got tired and went to sleep a little over half way through the movie. We saw "Get Smart". There were parts that were really funny, but I wouldnt recommend seeing this movie. The joke content was pretty in-appropriate. Over it was a great night, we had a lot of fun and cant wait to do it again!

She can kill me later, I just find pictures like these incredibly funny! look at her bug eyes! lol, I know, bad Mommy!

Kristin's First Dodger Game!

Justin and I were given tickets to the Dodger game at Petco Park here in San Diego on June 12th. We thought, "How perfect! We can take Kris to her first official Dodgers game!" I got off work early and Justin, Uncle Doug, Kris and I headed down town around noon. We got there late, and Kristin was already tired (its usually her nap time and she didnt sleep on the way to the game, like I thought she would). Praise God we were in shaded seats! Kristin wasnt really into the game (obviously :) and she was so over tired; but she eventually fell asleep in the baby carrier and took a pretty good nap woke up and had fun with Daddy and Uncle Doug and their other friend, Chris, who joined us later at the game. When the game was over we got lost getting to our car, sadly by my own dirctions, lol..oops. Even though it wasnt the ideal first baseball game, it was truley one of a kind! Here is a shot of Kris in all her get-up at the game...and Uncle Doug's aviator glasses. She looks so cool! : )
