The Roberts Report: The Animals!

Staying home these last 9 weeks after having Jacob has been absolutely wonderful! I slightly dread going back to work because this has been such a great time with my family and growing my relationships with my two closest friends. But at the same time I know that going back to work is what God has called me to for now and I rejoice in His provision of the job I have and how flexable they have been with me in my schedule and extension of my maternity leave.

The last two weeks the kids and I have spent time with my two best friends, April and Chelsea, and their kids going to the Wild Animal Park and the Zoo. What an awesome way to get to know each other again, spend special time with our kids, getting our kids to build relationships with each other and getting out of the house. It was the kids first time to the Wild Animal Park. We had a lot of fun looking at the girraffes and the lions were so close to the window. Kristin especially loved the play area they have for young kids like here. She really didnt want to leave when it was time to go, but we'll be back I'm sure.

Today we went to the Zoo. We rode on the skyride, which she LOVED! And so did I! Its so fun watching these kids experience new things in life. The aw in their eyes, the joy in their smile...it's priceless as a parent!
I think we'll be attempting Sea World next, so stay tuned!
