After church Justin, Kristin and I decided to head out and get a Christmas tree. We went for a drive to Ramona to a pick it and cut it down place and realized when we got there...we dont have an ax to cut it down with! We were pretty deep in a conversation we were having so it was no big deal lets just drive to Home Depot for a 20 buck tree!
We went inside first to grab some more lights. Because of Kris and a fear of her eating one of our glass ornaments we opted for a lights only tree this year, so we wanted to have some really awesome colored lights to really make Kris say "Wow!". While J and I are looking at Christmassy decorative things, Kristin has been eye-balling one of the tall snow men you put in the house or right outside your door as decoration. The snowman is smiling, and looks very nice. He is about 2 inches taller than Kris and after studying him for a few minutes she walks right up to him and says "Hi!". I think she was wondering why he wasn't answering her back!
Checking out tree's was interesting. We found one that was just beautiful, but just too big (tall and fullness) for our little home and all the others were pretty much on the way to the chipper! By the time we were heading to another tree lot it was going to be too dark to see if the tree was dead, almost dead or living. So we are going out tonight for another look. So we headed to Family Christian to get the Willows Nativity that we have been wanting the last 2 years. We had a coupon this time so we were able to get the basics, Mary, Joseph, a Shepherd, 2 sheet and of course..the Donkey. Of course Jesus was there, but in Mary's arms. We are hoping each year we can add a little bit to our new collection : ). Kristin loves getting attention from people, and she pretty much draws it wherever she goes. The cashier handed J the receipt and he said thank you and bye, and Kristin just stood there waving at her and saying, "Bye,...Bye...Bye,bye..." all the way to the door of the store. I practically had to drag her out there. lol.
We're hoping tonight we will have a better chance of finding the 'perfect tree'.

We broke out some of our decorations when we got home and Kristin was so excited over the 'BALL!' with glitter inside it!
