Happy Birthday Kristin! 2 Years Old! WOW!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kristin! Justin and I had planned to take Kristin to Sea World for her birthday, but Justin had a very painful back injury that pretty much prevented him from doing anything but lying down. He did however force himself up to go to the pet store because we wanted to get her Nemo & Dory fishes. Well after getting there and realizing 1. how expensive salt water fish are, and 2. all the equiptment to go with it, and 3. that we would have to get a pretty huge tank to house them we decided to leave Nemo and Dory in the TV screen. Kris had a great time looking around at all the fish, the turtles, birds, lizzards & snakes, bunnies & kitties...I told Justin, she is getting her day at sea world! Just a small version of it!

Kristin loves the happy birthday song! She gets so happy and excited whenever it is sung to her. Her cousins, and Nana Roberts & Papa Collins called to sing her happy birthday and I should have taken pictures of her face because it lights up and she knows that she is special.

The next day we went to Papa and Nana Collins house and Aunt Kelly, Uncle Jason, Keilah and Katie all came to hang out too. It was a fun, relaxing afternoon and the kids had a great time running around and getting in their pool.

Here are some photos of the day:

Happy Independence Day! First Day At Sea World

Since Kristin has been suffering from a mouth infection of some kind we didnt think it was a good idea to expose her to her cousins and possibly spread what she has, so again, just like every 4th of July since Kristin has been born we have missed spending the day with our families. This year we decided that maybe we should do something by ourselves and try to make the most of the day together. And we sure did! We decided to go to Sea World! Justin's friend, Burton, came with us and we got to meet a couple of his friends who also came down from frisco for the weekend and were also at Sea World that day. We went to the dolphin show first and Im so glad we did. Kristin usually doesnt give a reaction when she is around something new. She usually watches quietly, really straight faced and just wanting to observe. So we thought it would be the same. For the beginning of the show, when the guy comes out and starts playing the guitar, singing and getting the crowd involved she was doing that but once he told us to do the wave and we put her arms up for the wave and he did one song where the crowd has to shout out words to the song; after that she was stoked. She was clapping, waving her arms and yelling. Even when the music stopped! It was adorable to watch. She loved the dolphins and we were close enough for her to see them pretty close. We also checked out the Shark Encounter, Manintees, Forbidden Reef (petty sting rays), the Sea Lion & Otter Show, and the last event of the night was the Shamu Show. She was so tired so she wasnt that interested but she watched the whole thing. The day was so fun and the fireworks show was also amazing. She got scared at first because the first few fireworks were huge which also means a huge 'boom' but I put her in my lap and plugged her ears for her. The rest of the time she was fine watching the fire works. The day was awesome and we had such a good time. We have 2 more times we can go before the end of this year so there is definitely a lot more we want to see and do! Here are some photos from the day! I forgot it uploads backwards so all the photos are in reverse order.

18 Week Doctor Appointment

I accidentally scheduled my 13 week doctor appointment on the same day as Doug's High School graduation ceremony so I rescheduled and they were so busy they didnt have any openings till today.

Justin, Kristin and I went to meet with Nurse Thorpe and had a great appointment. Everything is going great with me and the baby (healthwise so far) I haven't gained 1lb since my first weigh in at 8weeks, which Im so proud of & actually surprised about! We got to hear the heartbeat on the dopler. Its one of my favorite sounds ever! His/Her heart rate is at 152.

We go in on the 14th this month and have our ultrasound to find out what the baby is and check and make sure everything looks ok. We will update more once we find out along with pictures!
