Where the Pa's Go

Justin and I are trying to break Kristin of the habit of always having her pacifier. Whenever she gets sick we fall back into the habit because we let her have it all day because she isn't feeling well & it provides her with comfort and Justin and me peace and quite, so it seems like a win/win in our eyes. We are now trying to only give it to her at nap time and bed time. She has been pretty good about it. When she gets hurt or cries she always starts calling for her 'Pa'. Its painfully cute. When she wakes up in the morning and we bring her out of her crib we usually take her 'Pa' and put it in the junk drawer in the kitchen. Easy place for us to find it..and aparently for her to find too. On a few occasions we have caught her reaching into the draw to get her 'pa' out, but since she knows she is not suppose to have it she is usually really good about handing it back to mommy and daddy to put back in the 'pa' drawer. Well this morning for the first time our big girl decided she would put her own 'Pa' in the drawer! Thats right I witnessed a miracle! She walked right into the kitchen opened the 'Pa' drawer and dropped it right in, closed the door and gave a big girl smile at mommy & daddy! I am so proud of the little things she does. It may be simple and silly to us, but to my little girl it was a big step. Today my little girl grew up a little bit more.
